Age limit and rules for piercing @indiapiercing

Identification must always be presented by the customer and/or guardian. ID documents such as national ID card, passport, driver's license, personal ID from the Swedish Tax Agency or similar (see below for alternatives) are valid.
15 years for piercing with a guardian. Presentation of identification, signature and presence.
Otherwise 18 years without parental consent. Presentation of identification.
Intimate piercing, nipple and dermal anchor, 18 years.
Piercing of the earlobe. 6 years with guardian. Presentation of ID, presence and signature.
You must be healthy and have no ongoing infection in your body.
Not be pregnant or newly delivered.
We do not perform piercing on a person who is under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
Symptom-free / fever-free 7 days before piercing

We are happy to help with replacements and stretching of holes.
All changes or stretching are booked in. Of course, we take drop-in if there is time. You will find the option for changes on the booking page. NOTE! Does not apply to intimate piercing. Book an appointment for changing intimate piercings by phone to the respective studio.
Keep in mind that company is not allowed in the studio, but they are kindly asked to wait outside the piercing studio during the time. Perhaps they will find some nice jewelry in our store while they wait

Piercing with needle or gun?

At India, we only perform needle piercing. To learn this craft requires long training. We sterilize all jewellery before piercing, use disposable gloves, sterilized disposable needles and ensure that there is no cross-contamination while your piercing is being performed. It is important to us that we give our customers the best possible conditions for the piercing to heal as well as possible. You are important to us!

The reason we don't do piercings with a gun is mainly that the gun cannot be sterilized. This means that bacteria, skin tissue and body fluids accumulate on the gun and when the blunt jewelry is forced through, for example your ear, your wound comes into direct contact with this material. The jewelry used in gun piercing is blunt. With the force of the gun, the blunt jewelry is pushed through the body part you have chosen to pierce. Because the jewelry is blunt, the tissue is blown apart and causes more damage than piercing with a sharp needle. The risk of infection and blood contamination is much higher when piercing with a gun. We at indiapiercing do not recommend making holes in the body with a gun.

What identification documents are valid for piercing at India Piercing?

The most common physical ID documents in Sweden are the Swedish passport, Swedish national ID card, Swedish driving license and Swedish SIS-marked ID card. There are also other approved ID documents such as a valid ID card issued by the Swedish Tax Agency and service cards issued by government agencies. In addition to these physical documents, there are digital e-identifications such as BankID, Freja+, and AB Svenska Pass

Physical ID documents

Swedish passport: Valid passport issued by the Police Authority.
Swedish national ID card: Valid national ID card issued by the Swedish Police Authority.
Swedish driving license: Valid driving license issued in Sweden.
Swedish SIS-marked ID card: SIS-marked identity card, service card or company card issued by, for example, a bank or a company.
Swedish Tax Agency ID card: Valid ID card issued by the Swedish Tax Agency.
Swedish service card: Valid service card issued by a government agency (usually without SIS mark).
Nordic and EU documents: Valid passports and national ID cards issued in other Nordic or EU countries may also be accepted.

Digital ID documents (eID)

BankID: issued by banks.
Freja+: Issued by Freja eID Group AB.
AB Svenska Pass: Available on the Swedish Tax Agency's ID card and can be used in government e-services.

Important to note

Validity:

The documents must be valid. Provisional passports are not valid as identification.
Digital vs. physical:

Some services require a physical ID document (e.g. applying for a passport), while others can be done digitally with an e-ID.
Exceptions:

Provisional passports are not valid as IDs, while driving licenses are now acceptable in most situations, although they were previously considered insecure.
